Ingredients
  

Peach Crumble Filling

  • 4 cups sliced peaches fresh, canned, or frozen (if canned, drain well)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Peach Crumble Topping

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¾ cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup cold butter (1 stick)
  • ¼ cup chopped nuts optional, pecans or walnuts

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F. In a large bowl, wash, peel, and slice the peaches. Toss them with granulated sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, mix all-purpose flour, brown sugar, and rolled oats. Cut in the cold butter until coarse crumbs form. Stir in chopped nuts if using.
  • Lightly grease a baking dish. Spread the peach mixture evenly and sprinkle the crumble topping over it without pressing down.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes until the topping is golden and the filling is bubbling. The aroma of caramelized peaches will fill your kitchen.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for 10-15 minutes before serving warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
