  • 1 cup milk whole milk preferred
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp sugar

French Toast Slices

  • 4 slices thick cut bread preferably brioche or challah

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and sugar until smooth and fully combined.
  • Arrange thick cut bread slices on a plate. If the bread is fresh, let it sit for an hour or lightly toast it for better absorption.
  • Gently dip each bread slice into the custard mixture for 10 to 15 seconds per side. Shake off any excess mixture.
  • Heat a nonstick pan over medium heat and melt butter. Cook each dipped bread slice for 2 to 3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  • Transfer the cooked French toast to a plate and serve immediately with your favorite toppings like maple syrup, powdered sugar, and fresh berries.
