Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Rolling Pin
  • Knife

Ingredients

Dough

  • 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour sifted
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 ¼ tsp instant yeast one packet
  • ¾ cup warm milk about 110°F
  • ¼ cup melted butter unsalted
  • 1 large egg

Filling

  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp melted butter

Icing

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast. Add the warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Mix until a soft dough forms and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  • Lightly flour a work surface and roll out the dough into a large rectangle, about 1/4-inch thick. Brush the dough with melted butter, then sprinkle evenly with brown sugar and ground cinnamon.
  • Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into 8 even rolls. Place the rolls into the air fryer basket, leaving space between each for expansion.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and cook the cinnamon rolls for 8-10 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the air fryer and let cool slightly.
  • For the icing, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drizzle over the warm cinnamon rolls before serving.

Notes

This recipe can be made with pre-made cinnamon rolls for a quicker version. Adjust the rising time if making the dough from scratch. Enjoy these warm, gooey rolls fresh out of the air fryer!
